radiator drain valve missing?

radiator drain valve missing?
2007 Silverado Classic 5.3L
want to change hoses, flush, etc. Removed fans to get access. Can't find the way to drain. It's like the valve fell out. Attached hose to barb, but there is nothing to turn. What can I do?...short of new radiator? Thanks
