A Cam is always the best way for cheap performance, your truck has 1.5 slot rockers so stay with an RV cam 480 lift max. If you have the $$ heads are the next best way to performance Becking will improve you compression and getting heads with larger intake and exhaust valves. Stay away from Dome top pistons and stay with forged flat tops with Valve reliefs. A GM Crate motor will give you everything you want with a warr. Check it out @ GMPERFORMANCE.COM also go with a dual plane intake not a single plane they generate more torque @ lower RPMS.
