Has anyone installed a remote start system in their 99 and up GM truck. My wife would love a remote start to warm her 2002 Yukon up now that it is getting cold. I have installed alarms and stereos in the past but have never done a remote start (I don't think they had them when I used to install). Anyways, let me know what you have and how hard/easy the install process is. I think I need something to bypass the factory security system right? Thanks in advance!

 

I'm also curious on this subject but for a 98 GMC WITHOUT keyless entry. Would the FOB work for the locks as well? It does have power locks

Well its not a 99-up but I did on my 97.......and the instructions covered up till current year. As I said in my post that I did on mine...the hardest part for me was finding the lock/unlock wires (which btw run down the kick panel on the drivers side) It took me about 2 hrs if I remember right....the Bulldog system is the one I put on. The instructions were a little vague in areas but its nothing a wiring diagram didnt solve. With it 18 degrees out this morning......its gonna come in handy......the only thing that Im gonna go back and do to mine is solder the connections instead of using their "braid" method....hint..hint
