Removing exterior badges etc...
 
Ok so i have removed badges off gm vehicles before but the main thing is that big plastic strip that goes the length of the doors and bed in between the wheel wells, what is the best way to remove it without damaging the paint? i think its most annoying peice of **** they put on em but i need to have that space open for a logo design, any answers???

I took them off my truck and they strip just pulled off with no problem. Then I took some 3M adhesive remover and my thumb and rubbed it off. It was really easy and there was no body dammage. There is another post with some more information. I started the thread Ill look for it and then send you the link.

3M make an eraser wheel that works so good I wish I would have know about it befor I use my thumb. It was soar for a few days.

how easy is it to remove the badges themselves?

easy enough, did about five off the new tahoes recently and it took like 1 hour... after you get it off use some solvent wd40 whatever degreaser to get the rubber off then some polish to take any scuffing off of the paint...

Let your truck sit in the sun and get warm or hot and they will peel off real easy.

hey coopster, i havent bought it yet, probly in the next week... im llooking at 2 02' 2500's one isa crew the other an ext. and the third on is a 03' crew 2500
