Hi,

I've still got my stock stereo in my truck, and one of my door speakers crapped out. Since i have to replace them anyway I thought I would upgrade the speakers, however I don't know what size fits the door. There are two speakers in the door. A few of the local car sterero shops said they only replace those with a single coax speaker not the two that are currently in the door.

What sizeare those two within the door, and if could someone please recommend the best direction to go with this?

Uhh I know you have 6" speakersin the doors, but Im not sure what the second one is. Are you talking about the tweeters? Those little guys dont typically need replacement as far as I know.

 

Ya, it's the tweeter I believe. I just figured if I was going to swap them out I would do both and use some component speakers.

 

i would get some rocker fosgate i think thats how u spell it
or so alpian they got so good speakers i got a set of both and i couldnt be happier

 

Its rockford fosgate I believe, and yes those are good quality along with Arc audio, Alpine, kenwood and many others... Its simply preference.

 

Check with crutchfeild.com They will tell you exactley what size speakers you need and make suggestions.

 

Apparenlty it's 6.5" with a tweeter in the door. I'm going to replace it with a Infinity Component speaker system
