Rims/Tires
 

Our son has a 1996 Chevy Silverado 2wd. Lug pattern is 5 x 5. He wants to put a 6 inch lift kit and then change the tires and rims to 22 or 24 inch rims and 33 or 35 inch tires. One place he went to said he would need to use adapters to change the lug pattern to 6 lugs. That would make over half the tire stick out and even with cutting and reshaping the wheel well they aren't sure it still wouldn't have tire rub when he turns. Another place he went to said he should be able to find 5 x 5 rims and wouldn't need adapters. I guess my question is has anyone done this before? And if so do you have pictures? Did you have to use adapters? He doesn't necessarily want really wide tires. Thank you so much!
