Im thinking about buying a 2006 chevy 1500 rst its a 4.8 with a 5 speed manual. One of my buddies bought it brand new and drove if for about a year and bought a keene bell supercharger for it. The transmission went out and he replaced the clutch with a stage 3 thats rated for like 500 horse. the motor blew up shortly after and he took the motor out and due to financial difficulty never got the engine replaced. Im thinking about buying the truck as is and putting a ls2 motor out of a vette in it. How difficult will the installation be and what all computer stuff will have to be done?

Should bolt right up. The PCM will need to go with it as well all the wiring. You may also wanna get a bigger drive shaft. Thats a lot of torque.
