Just get the corvette servo installed. Costs about 20 bucks and you can do it urself in bout 35 mins without taking the transmission out.

Trans go makes a good kit. also do the vette servo and maybe the billet 4th servo. i have the vette servo and i like it. wish i had done the 4th servo at the same time. look up oregon performance. |
If you are towing then I would suggest the 4th servo, but if you only want firmer shifts while running WOT or street racing then either the shift kit or corvette servo helps. My servo helps 1-2 and 2-3. The 4th servo is mainly for towing so the tranny can hold onto overdrive better with a load. I installed the vette servo and with the tune took off some TM(torque managment), or added line pressure and I get a 2nd gear scratch even at 1/2 throttle.

ruffneck, you chirp second and only have the vette servo on your trans? i got a superchips programmer, cold air intake, ad full exhaust headers all the way back
|
Well the custom tune helped with that.

yea i tow an atv up through west va, so thats why i wish i had done the 4th at the same time.

Yeah I figured you did buddy. But you know, I should get it anyways. All it can do is help right?
