Default shifting problems

I was wondering if anybody has been having any problems with the 4l60e transmission torque converter locking up and letting go. I have a 1999 gmc sierra z71. While Iam driving the truck will shift fine and the converter will lock up. But after a while it will jump out. If I give it a little more throtle it will lock up again but as soon as I slack off it jumps back out. I have read a couple of forums and have heard that adjusting the tps might help. I was wondering how you adjusted it and if it would have and effect. Any help would be appreciated

yea just going down the road and it jumps out. If you have it in cruise control any time it hits a little hill it will lock back up. But as soon as it tops the hill it jumps back out. It changes about 200 rpms when it does it.
