Side Window Deflectors
With summer coming to Alabama and hot temps, I'd like to get a pair of side window deflectors for the front doors of my 06 Silverado Crew cab so I can leave the windows down a little to keep the cab a little cooler but not get rain in if we have a thundershower.
Are any types of deflectors or brands better suited to Silverados than some others? Also, best places to buy? I've seen some that have adhesive tape and some that snap in. Not sure which is better for our type trucks. Thanks for any help here. Mike in Alabama |
I had some on my 1990 model Chevy with the 2 sided tape. The 1st summer at Fort Campbell, Ky the tape either got so hot it got gooy and came apart or the heat dried it out and it came loose. I tried to repair it and by the end of summer I ended up pulling them off and gave them to my dad for his Chevy. They were nice acept for the sticky tape.

I have the Lund Brand on my 06 crew cab. They use the sticky tape, have had no issues in 2.5 years now. Course it's not quite that hot up here in Maine...
