Hello to all. I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 z71. The truck gets stuck in 4wdL. This truck has a **** on the dash with the following positions: "2wd-auto-4wdH-4wdL." Every once in awhile, if I use 4wdL, and sometimes even if I am not, it goes into 4wdL and will not come out. I disconnect the battery cables, check fuses, and play around shifting to neutral, park, reverse, etc. Nothing helps. Then, I drive it a few miles in 4wdL with the **** at 2wd and eventually, it goes back. But now in 2wd I hear a faint whining sound. This is driving me crazy. I cannot afford at the moment to buy a new module- they are crazy expensive. I can probably afford an actuator. I am thinking that I will just have the module and actuator taken off the truck and be happy with 2wd. Any downside to that idea besides not having 4wd available?
