RE: Slotted Rotors
I have crossdrilled and slotted rotors on my truck.. I think braking power decreased a little, but im not sure.. its been a while and i put them om pretty much when i got the truck... If you do go with rotors i would go with powerslots.. my boy threw them on his 2000 f-body and that car could stop on a dime.. And go with some EBC pads.. then your truck will probably have the best brakes around...unless someone 1 ups you with a big brake kit..

RE: Slotted Rotors
i have the baer brakes slotted rotors on my truck. on quick stops they are about the same. but with a trailer and long gradual stops brake fade was eliminated. just do your self a favor and stay away from cross drilled rotors and ceramic pads together. guy set me up with them first and the rotors cracked by all the holes due to excessive heat required for the ceramic pads to work. ceramic pads on the street suck. they are made to work a a high temp that is only achieved on a road course. lot of people buy them to cut down on brake dust but i think they are junk. i use bendix hd semimetallic brake pads, yeah they eat rotors a little quicker but the stopping power is hard to beat

RE: Slotted Rotors
i think ill probably stick to stock brakes for now with semi metallic pads. i dont think the excessive price and more frequent replacements are good on the budget for me.

RE: Slotted Rotors
Good call bro.. I am buying new brakes when I get back from god forsaken italy. Cross drilled and slotted is crap.. might as well be jello in those brake lines.. oh well, live and learn

I have the slotted powerslots and they are not pretty bad. I did feel a difference.

RE: Slotted Rotors
Well if you are doing any kind of mudding it is just more holes and slots for mud and gravel to get into.

RE: Slotted Rotors
There meant for racing the holes and slots help keep them cool. That would make them good for towing I have them on my Redlineand love them huge difference wile racing SCCA meets and street racing on the highway. My stock rear breaks would so hot the made a loud grinding scary noise that wasnt something you want to hear at 150mph.
