The coils have a decent ride but the spindles are deffinitly better if you want to spend the $. What ever you go with I would suggest a Belltech kit with the good shocks, thier 3/4 is great.

I just ordered the 3, 4, belltech kit for my 04 silverado std cab short box! The truck came with some 20" that i don't really like, plus i think they are 10" wide, doesn't look like they will work in the front.
I really wanna do 22"x8.5 in front and 22"x10 in the rear. Anybody know how to get wheels like that? With out paying an arm and leg? They gotta be black too!

If you use coils you will need shocks, if you use spindles then no.

Go with the spindles. Keeps steering geometry in check and you won't need new shocks.
