Red face Spins over but won't start

Sorry if this is a repeat question but I'm at the end of my rope and need help quick. Here's the deal, 96 Chevy Z71 Ext. cab 5.7L, parked for about a month. Truck was running fine when parked except for bogging when passing gear was kicked in. The battery went dead and I had to get a replacement key cut. Swapped the battery and now it just spins and won't even try to start. I poured a little gas into the throttle body and it would run but rough. Pulled the bed, changed the fuel pump, sock, dampener, and fuel filter. Pump comes on and getting pressure at the check valve. Tested with a gauge and only getting 10-11 psi. What am I missing? Please help.

Check your fuel filter.

Does the security light flash in the instrument cluster? You may need to do a security relearn.

I got the fuel pump from a buddy. Turns out, I think it is for a throttle body putting out only 10-12 psi. Picking up new pump today and I will post results tonight.

I think TBI's run about 15 psi. Let us know what happens.

The spec for my 89 says the TBI should have 9-13 PSI and it would be considered acceptable.

Replaced the pump with the correct one from the parts house, hit the key and it fired right up. Took it for a spin, and it wont shift down into first or up out of third. Service engine light is staying on. Is it maybe a sensor? What sensor would affect the transmission shifting properly. Keep in mind it sat up for a month but the trans is new with only about 2k miles on it.
