i need to know what is the stock tranny for a 94 chevy silverado

Sounds like you may have transmission problems. In your glove box there is probably a sticker with your RPO codes on it. Copy those down and go to http://www.angelfire.com/ny2/96transam/rpocodes.html and it will tell you everything you want to know about your specific vehicle - from paint color, trim package - to what type of transmission is in your vehicle (transmission codes usually start with the letter "M")
