realistically any new shock should be much better then my ol
rusty ones.
just dont want it to ride to stiff.

Your shocks will not make a significant difference in your ride as your springs and choice of tire will.
Your shocks primarily dampen the bounce and impact your suspension receives from uneven roads.
To achieve a more car like ride... Try a 3 ply side wall light truck tire (I'm assuming your driving a 1/2 ton)

Have you done any mods to your truck? You are driving a Z71 which comes with suspenion upgrades usually a stiffer system. It probably came new with P series tires like P265/75R16 as mine did. I would suggest checking with the tire shop for a soft riding tire. As for shocks an adjustable one would most likely give the best ride like a Rancho 9000 series so you can adjust it and see what difference it makes, talk to Rancho and see what they say. Also tire pressure will make a difference. Too much and it will ride hard. Check the door label to see what the manufature recommends. When unloaded I run about 10lbs less in the rear.

no mods but yes i have the z71 package with the upgraded suspension and wheels.
I actually never minded the stock suspension until around 2 yrs ago
its pretty bouncy and
if u go down bumpy road u loose ur fillings.
also the rear shocks are so rusted i dont think i would push on em with a screw driver so time for some new ones.
adjustable would be cool could play with them a bit

so I'm down to blistein rancho and monroe...lol
think it will come down to availability and price.

I put Monroes on the rear of my truck and it made a huge difference. Affordable, stock(ish) ride, easy to install and available everywhere.
