suspension lift vs body lift
What's the difference? Which is better, if either is?

RE: suspension lift vs body lift
Sneezecoughsneeze. Ya think! What I want to know(not being a lift expert) is there any reason to get a body lift? The question was to see if anyone has a legit reason for a body lift over suspension. I should have asked it that way, but I didn't want to influence opinions. Don't body lifts look strange with everything hanging down?

RE: suspension lift vs body lift
In the interest of not being mistaken for a flaming homosexual, people opt for the suspension lift.
Body lift accomplishes nothing, aside from making your truck appear taller, and makes the bumpers look too low. |
RE: suspension lift vs body lift
Body lift lift is a easy and cheaper way. We talked before about people using hockey pucks to do a body lift.

RE: suspension lift vs body lift
Body lifts are strickly for looks. not at all the way to go.

RE: suspension lift vs body lift
A hockey puck would work. I wouldn't do it, but they'd work.;)

RE: suspension lift vs body lift
I had a friend who actually did the hockey puck lift on his blazer

RE: suspension lift vs body lift
Body lift will do nothing more than prevent premature front end component wear as nothing changes on the suspension. You also don't have to worry about replacing expensive aftermarket suspension components when they wear out. But other than that the suspension lift will make the truck ride better, look better and it actually lifts the truck off the pavement more which (in my mind) is the sole purpose of a lift.

i wonder how many hockey pucks you could use before it fell over....
