OK, jackknifed a trailer into the side (bed) of my 2009 chevy 2500HD and made a good dent. Body shop says $2600 to replace panel. I can pick up a "takeoff" from a 2018 for $1000. yes, I know it will have different body lines and it is even a different color, but the truck is a work truck with 150K, so color and style don't make a difference to me. Question is "can the 2018 bed be a straight bolt on fit onto my 2009" ? Yes, the 2009 is an 8' bed as well as the 2018. Any thoughts are appreciated.
