ive been looking at the 03-06 tail lights ever since i saw a 88-98 model running around with them, it looked good. anyways just wondering if the wiring plugs are any different because the casings look the same. im thinking about buying a set ans swapping them if theyll fit right in.

no...an 89 used those "plates" to hold bulbs....the newer ones use sockets...

could be done,but will take some ingenuity

 

The wiring would be the easy part... Just splice.... As far as getting the tail light to fit the bed...

 

ive seen it done on customs before. they look like they have the same exact shape to them, but im only about 95% sure here.

 

do 03-06 taillights fit on 99-02 trucks?

 

The lenses match up to the body the same... Dunno about the harness... My roommate has a 2004... I'll try it when I get some free time...

alright, i need a new rear bumper, i was thinking of getting some taillights out of a junkyard while i was there

 

yea i was thinkin of a quick change like that. i just dont want to buy them, have them not fit and then be stuck with them.
