What year truck? Newer modules need to be programmed. C0327 is usually a failed encoder position sensor or complete encoder motor.

Shift motor is on the side of the transfer case. Sensor is inside but being a 04 I would do the motor. Also seen bad grounds below the drivers door on the body mount to the frame cause problems. Also grounds on the back of the engine block.

well i guess that trying to fix my own 4wd is a real pain Itryed to install a used switch motor and the 4wd would not fit so i put the origional back in. my 4wd started to work for a day them it stopped for a couple of hrs then it worked again. I got a new shift motor and now it doesn't work at all. would this be wireing i also replaced the TCCM with no luck. my truck is a 2004 sierra crew with short box 6L engine i will be checking the grounding

TCCM needs to be programmed for it to work.
