I installed a "new" Grille Guard on my 2000 2500HD today. My old one died with the last dear I hit. Friend at a body shop gave me Go Industries "Big Tex" that was in their scrap heap. It's brand new but the customer rejected it because it wasn't like her old one. Only trouble is it was made for a 2001 HD. Had make our own brackets and trim some of the profile to fit the 2000 HD bumper and mounting points. A bit of a pain but this thing looks awesome. Will post pictures tomorrow when it gets light enough to take them. Only downside is it sets up high enough to reflect some headlight glare back at me. Thinking a tall bug shield might solve this...for now I put some black rubberized tap on the back side of it.

Here it is. My 2001 Big Tex grill guard on my 2000 2500 HD. It sits up a little high. But at the rate I clobber deer it won't be on their long...and the price was right. Way under $100 in it. Next one will be either a "RanchHand" "Frontier" or Custom job. My preference would be to go with black but the chrome goes with my nerf bars. One thing about sliver silverados is you can go a lot of ways with accessories and it doesn't look goofy.

We'll thought the week I put some dee zee black tube steps on my truck they were dent and ding specials the only thing wrong was I had to re tap on steps mounting wholes because it was not right then today I put on some hid 8k xentec brand hids they are bright next mod I have in mind cab lights did my brothers 04 duramax and they look good
