Throttle Response of a Slug

My truck and mods are listed below and here is my problem.

My throttle response is horrible! From a dead stop I can mash the gas the truck wont even move for a second or two. Even when I am rolling andI jump on it the response is really bad. The air filter is clean I just checked it today. Whats going on?! Any ideas, thoughts, suggestions, oropinions welcome.

how many miles you got on your truck?? do you run 87 octane? could be the jets are clogged.....whens the last time you changed your plugs?? if its not your air, it must be either spark or fuel.....good luck!

Yeah I was thinking about doing a general tune up. I dont know when the plugs were changed last but I know I havent done it. I have 155K miles and yes I run 87 octane.

Do plugs, wires, PCV, clean the TB and the MAF and if you have the cash replace the O2 sensors too. They sensors aren't dead yet but I bet they are close.

sounds like the trans is slipping if it won't move at all for 2 seconds

If the same thing is happening to him that happened to me when I first go my truck I think its just a tune up.

My truck wouldn't rev correctly. There was a slight delay in the engine response. Not like the engine would rev and the truck would just sit there or anything. Does that sound right 6mins2live?

Yeah your right on. It wont even rev. If it did I would be worried bout the trans but Im possitive thats not it.

I just cleaned the throttle body and I could not find the MAF. Is it possible I dont have one? Where is it on my truck? I pulled everything off in front of the TB to put the TBS on this week and didnt even notice it.

Thanks for the help guys ill try this stuff. Hopefully it wont cost me much. If so I might have to live with it for a while. [:@]

IF IT DOES NOT REV,I'D LOOK AT FUEL PRESSURE....OR VERRRRRY SLOW TIMING

no maf on your 94

does it idle smooth?

RE: Throttle Response of a Slug

yeah it seems to idle fine. If I ease into the gas its not as noticable its more right when you take it to WOT. Then once it gets going it runs fine, just when you first step on it.
