Default Time for new tires

I need new tires for my 1998 k1500, I am looking for something pretty aggressive and hope to get at least 40k out of them. I am looking mostly at the cooper discoverer st or the kumho road venture at, an thoughts on these tires would be appreciated. Or what other tires have you guys had good luck with?

I can get an easy 60k miles out of my Michelin LTXs and in Maui, Hawaii thats hard to do... I tried the Goodyear Forterras as a recommendation and I was disgusted by the fact that they were ALL bald by 9k miles. Thats my 2 cents.

Well i have never had experince with eather of those two tires but in past years i have had good luck with sport kings. They lasted a good long time and did really well off road. Right now im running mastercraft corser C/T's and the also do good off road and i only have abou 2000 miles on them right now. Out of the two like the Coopers the best. I wouldnt recomend BFG A/T's i had a set of those tires the did terriable off road and threw rocks like crazy.

i have cooper s/t's... replaced bfg all terrains with them and i love the coopers... they are quiet and ride good on the road, but they will sling some mud... actually, they gum up less than cooper s/t-t's which are supposed to be better... it's weird...

anyway... i love my cooper s/t's, its a great all-around tire

My friends dad has 33x12.50 of bridgestone Dueler revo's on his ford and they look damn good. hes got about 15k on them right now ive only ridden in it once but they arent really that loud on the road and he says they do good "off road" (not thats he is doing alot of that).

im planning on getting a set of 285/70/17 when my factorys die (2006 Z-71) they are expensive though my 17" wheels will run around $210 where im at

The Kuhmo road venture AT are good for the price. I have had them several times and get 50k+ easily. 60k on my last truck. I have 30k on the ones I have no wand they have a ton of tread left. They do good on road, and offroad in moderate stuff. I have not tried them in any deep mud yetm but they have performed well in what I have done. The only complaint is this set feels a little squirrely at times on wet roads, but the ther sets did not. My boss has the same on his titan and he does not notice this. His only complaint is that they seem loud on his truck. I can't hear them on mine.

I have the toyo open country so far they have been a really nice set of tires. When i went and bought them there was a guy getting a new set and he had about 50,000 to 60,000 on them and he worked in the oil fields so i decided to try them.

Mickey Thompson's Baja MTX's are a great tire look aggressive, are aggressive and low road noise even at a 15mph. I got around 50,00 miles off of the first set and have about 20,000 on my second set

Agreed! I realy like mine, execpt for how they WILL NOT break loose on any concrete. Thats a good thing though. Ive got about 2,000 miles on mine and they are by far the best tire I have ever owned.
Handle great on wet roads, and are barely heard on interstate. Not loud at all.
However, my truck does wonder a bit since ive got them. Im almost completely sure that is a result of my torsion bar adjustment though. They dont ride the smoothest either, but that is due to my max pressure and torsion bars.
Go for the Kumho Road Venture A/T's!!
