Tire pressure sensor issue
 

Changed the rims on my 09 silverado, had the tire guys install the factory sensor on the after market rims so it wouldn't be an issue. Now it reads the pressure on all four tires but the damn tire light doesn't go out and it keeps telling me to check my tire pressure!!!!
DOES ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA WHAT TO DO?????????????

did they reset the sensors after reinstalling them? also if you went with a diffrent rim you have changed the way the pressure is in the tire and on the rim

Make sure you are running the same tire pressure as the factory tires. Also make sure they didn't break any of the sensors. I had a shop break one on my wifes Camry and it ended up becoming a real nightmare. You could also try resetting them by disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery for a few minutes or there might be a special procedure for resetting them. Her Camry had a button in the glovebox that had to be held down. Good Luck!

Is there a sensor in the spare? My girlfriends Toyota 4-Runner has a sensor in the spare. I had to climb under last fall because it was a little low.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it either. It never even occured to me to check the spare. I checked all four and they were good, but the light wouldn't go out. I checked the owners manual and it said the spare has a sensor too. I guess it kinda makes sense. What's the point of having a spare if it doesn't hold air ya know.

There is a procedure in the book to relearn the sensor locations. It involves bleeding (or adding) air from each tire in a certain sequence until the horn beeps. It's pretty simple but I'm not sure that would cause what you are seeing. I have to relearn mine after each tire rotation if the tech doesn't do it.
