Torsion key lift ride change?

I am thinking about doing a torsion key lift on my 03 silverado quadcab. I was wondering if this will effect my ride in any way as far as stiffness or anything. Thanks

RE: Torsion key lift ride change?

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here. Whe you crank the torsion keys you add more preload to the torsion bar, so when you set the truck back down the suspension doesn't sag as much, making it sit higher. I would then have to assume that cranking the torsion keys will make the ride stiffer.

Form my experience, it will make your ride stiffer. The torsion bars won't let the shocks work as much because they will make the "bottom out" point higher.
