Trans Help
 

I have an 89 1500 with 155k on it. It has the 5.7 and an auto trans when it goes to shift to 3rd gear it just revs up. I'm assuming 3 and 4 are both gone but I have never worked on an auto so I dont know what needs replaced. It has overdrive too, I was assuming that would prob still work but i really dont know. Any help would be awsome.

Hey man i got a 305 in mine, the guy i got it from siad the same thing, i havent driven it yet, but he said he braught it in, the transmission guy changed it to overdrive, or something like that, and now second gear is really long, it will rev then change gears, im not sure if this has anything to do with what ur sayin but for what its worth

ur clutches are probably burnt need tranny rebuild happened to me to
