Default Transmission Shift Question

I have a 2000 silverado 4.8 with the infamous 4l60 trans. My main goal is to get the trans to shift a little firmer. I installed a vette servo. It shifts a little bit better but not much. Is there a way to add fluid pressure or do I install that pain in the a$$ shift kit? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Al

I have no clue about this stuff, but I'd assume that you'll have to install the shift kit.

You can increase a few different ways that I am aware of. 1. install the corvette servo (which you did) 2. install a shift kit 3. have your computer tuned with a handheld programmer or get it tuned That is the 3 basic ways that I am aware of doing it.

Thanks 4 the replys....I'm probably going to go with the hand held tuner. The thought of dropping that nasty, oily valve body is just not a pleasant thought!
