Transmission valve body

After much research, I have been able to finally determine the source of my transmission issue. It turns out that my trans doesn't need to be rebuilt. Found some TSB's and other articles that point to the problem being in the valve body. After a while the one of the valves wears out in the bore causing problems with the torque converter clutch. About the only fix for this is to replace the entire valve body. Does anybody have any idead about where I can pick up a new one. Parts stores only carry generic rebuild/performance kits, and dealerships want over $500. I've seen plenty remans on ebay, but I'd prefer to stay away from that. If anyone else has had this problem before or knows where I can find the part, let me know please.

well i would suggest the dealership but thats not what your wanting to to i bet
also i would try craigslist fro used transmissions maybe youll get lucky and find one that they think is bad and it still has a good valve body on it or you could go to a junk yard that only sells rebuildable cars trucks ect. but as far as i know your best bet will be the dealership i hate to say that but some parts are better to be baught that way
