WTF??? Anyone seen this in action before? It's insane... what's the story on this bad boy?

I think I've seen something similar on a car that looked like this. Blows my mind that you'd need three carburetors.

ive seen these alot on hotrods i just dont understand the complexity it takes to make 3 of them work or how someone can think of somehthing like that
i have also seen a 6 carb setup before

That was a factory option on some older vehicle's like Pontiac GTO's and such. It obviously was a performance thing where the thinking was if you could even out the flow of gas to each cylinder better (like the modern day MPFI) then it would make more HP vs a big 4 barrel sitting in the middle of the engine. I wouldn't attempt to install it one TBI motor though. I think you would drown that 305. It would be much easier to do some mods to your TBI set-up then to go with something like that if your wanting to increase HP. Try this site - TBI CHIPS.
