On the drivers side below the dash you have a 5 amp fuse. I'm not sure what it is labeled maybe Ign. Replace it whether it looks good or not. The reason I say this is that I had a 91 4x4 and after the tranny was replaced it blew that fuse and like you when gas was poured down the TBI it would fire then shut down. The fuse was blown. That fuse also powers the clutch in the auto transmission. I found the wires smashed in the tranny and when they made contact with the metal it would blow the 5 amp fuse but not a 10 amp. I think you have a bad connection in the fuse panel or wiring. Worth a try anyway. I gave my truck to my son and he still drives it.
