Truck wont start

Hi. I have a 2000 silverado with a Vortec V-6 4.3L that wont start. I check the fuel pump and its working. The fuel pressure is around 55 to 60 psi, which is around what it should be. I tried putting starter fluid down the intake and it still does not start. It does crank and if I hold my foot on the accelarator it sounds like it is about to start but does not go. any idea what it might be?

ill put money on it being a clogged fuel filter. Try replacing that its right inside the frame on my 96 under the driver side door. but maybe not since your getting good fuel pressure and ussuallly if its clogged the fuel pump will sound like its bogging out

Check the distributor cap and rotor... If it has one... I am not sure when they made these engines without.

If it doesn't start with starter fluid then a fuel wont either so a clogged fliter dont matter. Pay up!!! Lol just kidding. This is gonna be either an ignition problem or computer. Obviously no fire, so check ur distributor, I know these vortec V-6's came with those. Start from there.
