Is this truck worth the money?

Just wondering if a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado with 5.3 auto. Push button 4x4. Black 4 door, Power seats. 207000 kms. Projector headlights, dual muffler, Linex spray-in bedliner, K&N air filter. and its got new parts, battery, fuel pump, tires, and windshield. The guy wants $14,000 for it.

Post how much money you think its worth.

I think thats a little high, but I dont know how many miles that translates to. Id say about $13,000 max if it is at about 120,000 miles.

All I know is the chrome junk has gotta come off.

I don't know what the conversion for Kilometers is to miles but frankly I don't care. I'm thinking the truck has roughly between 100,000-150,000 miles on it. No it is not worth that much. Those aftermarket accessories don't add much of anything to the value. Don't let them trick you into thinking that. I'd go on www.nada.com or www.edmunds.com and look into the value of them but I'm thinking something like $7-8,000.

1 mile = 1.609344 kilometers
Straight from google. 12862 miles. Approximately. This is also in Canadian Dollars. Also Canadian Market. Which is more expensive then the American Market.

I think you left a 0 off the end of that mileage conversion. I don't know what the difference is between US and Canadian dollars. I know my 03 GMC Sierra SLE single cab/step side bed without 4x4 with 45,000miles on it is only worth about $10,500 but the value of vehicles is different depending on what region you live in too. It is also probably a lot different in Canada then it is in the US so your kinda wasting your time asking us to be honest. Call up a local bank and ask them to calculate the worth of it based on the Make, Model, Year, body style, and mileage. If you have the VIN handy that helps out a lot too.

128623 miles. My appologies. And the Canadian Dollar, was worth 0.0002 more then the American, so you might aswell call it even. And this will be my first vehicle purchase that has not been from Family, or friends. And i do not know how to tell them to reduce the price. Any suggestions? And also, thank you for the fast replies. I greatly appreciate your support.

lol, when I said 13,000 I accounted for the fact that it was in Canadian dollars. In US dollars, Id say its worth about $9500. +/-

14,000.00 CAD = 14,014.01 USD
Canada Dollars United States Dollars
1 CAD = 1.00100 USD 1 USD = 0.999000 CAD

Thats the price difference at the current moment.

RE: Is this truck worth the money?

Actually it's pretty easy. First you find out how much it is officially worth whether you look it up online or call your bank and ask them to calculate it for you. Then you call the owner of the vehicle and say hey I know your truck is only worth $X,XXX.00 and I'm willing to give you what it's worth. And to be fair since it does look "prettied up" you might throw an extra $100-200 above what it's worth at them. If your not mechanically inclined, before you go making any offers get it checked out by a local shop to see if there are any problems and also check online to see if it's been wrecked.
