Unrepairable damage?
So if you've seen my other posts you may know that I'm rebuilding a truck in honor of a special person who has passed. Anyway.
I was wondering if there is some damage that just can't be repaired? The reason why I was is because there are some good sized dents in my cab and roof. I'm already going to have to do extensive body work to it but if I have to get a whole new cab, I might just scrap the plan. (And the truck) |
Well like the old saying.... "Anything is possible." And depending how bad you want it... It can be fixed.
And because this project is in honor of a recently passed friend. I think it deserves the effort |
Thanks! I'm taking it to a place near where I live to get it all looked over.

Window frame/ Door Frame straight?
If the windowframes and doorframes are straight, it can usually be saved. If they are bent or the cab is too expensive to repair, replacing a cab really isn't all that hard. If it is a legacy project, I'd do it.
The last time I fixed a cab I found myself at the far end of the project wishing I had just replaced the cab to start with, I would have had a nicer job. |
