upgrading dash from newer model to my 92
 

Hi everyone this is my first post here and Im hoping someone that may have done this before can help me out, I have a pretty sweet 92 chevy silverado extended cab, its a manual, short bed and its lifted 4 inches with 33" tires. My question is that I want to take a dash, (by dash I mean from the instrument cluster to the glove box and everything in between) out of say a 97 silverdo and put that dash into my truck. I am fairly sure that i could do it because this model of chevy really the only difference between this truck and my own is they got a slightly newer engine and a different grill and diferent dash setup, but the exact same body. So what I am looking for is any tips or how to's by someone more experienced than me. Thanks for the help guys.
