I've decided that instead of buying a new Gmc Sierra 1500 that I should just upgrade and out do my truck I have now. It's a 1992 Gmc Sierra 1500 Slt. Engines getting old and am unsure on what I should replace it with. It currently contains a V8 350 Gas. I also would like to find out how much it would cost to change it over to 4x4? is it worth it or not?

 

About the only feasible method to do such a thing is to get a wrecked truck and swap it all yourself

 

It would be VERY pricey... But, you could make a good street truck out of it...

 

Hey i have the same truck as you... mines ext. cab short box with a 350. I am painting it cobalt blue and metallic silver. I got centreline rims on it and i have big plans for it. i will post some pics once its painted and when i buy some stuff for it and maybe it will inspire you to do some stuff with your truck.

 

It can be done but its no fun, a friend of mine did it on his F-150 and it took about 8 months, mostly to find the parts but it would probably be cheaper to find another truck.
