Valve Covers

I have a 1989 chevy with 350 tbi motor. Would like to put new valve covers on it to dress it up a bit. found a set from autozone that is centerbolt which is what i need. What do i need for the other two holes in the valve covers. I know a breather and of course the oil cap. is the other hole just another breather? Do they need to have the the hose connected to them that run to the throttle body area?

Thats for the PCV valve.

Both have a hose running to the throttle body area.. My question more less is do i need those hoses..will it mess with the computer.

Oh not at all my friend. But!!! In the long run, those are there for a reason. They help prevent moisture build up inside your motor. They suck out the vapors created from the heat inside the motor. Otherwise next time you change the oil, you will see a lil bit of water comin out.

okay thanks. Now i know for the one just get the pcv valve and place it in the correct grommet. Now what about the other hose. Should i buy a breather and connect the hose to that. Or ? the hose is 1/2 dia on the outside

No you can buy a breather that just sits there in the grommet with no hose.
