archerynut36 im not sure if it will work just check the websites and see.

Southbayz71 you just have the drop in k&n right if so you might as well get the volant if your going to get a cold air intake cant say mine has help since i am just going and going from one job to the next and dont have time to check but smoke20 has had his and he knows it is helping so thats why i went with the volant.

Archery ...the K&N direct is the filter that is like the stock one ...you are probaby thinking about the FIPK ...which had the cone shaped filter that is exposed.

If I had that, I wouldn't change it ...my wife would shoot me. lol

I did some pricing on the Volant ...best I could find on the intake and the tube is $379.78 minus tax and shipping. YIKES!

here is a link to where I purchased my Volant CAI and a few other people on here. About $100 cheaper than what you found.

Is that the price w/ the tube? 4-wheel online has the CAI for $259.99 and performance center has the tube for $119.79.

Performance center will beat the CAI price by $2.00 since it's advertised online ...so, $257.99 for the CAI.

Total: $377.78

I have had the drop in K&N as well as the volant, and the difference is well worth the money. They are coming down in price as I paid $300 for mine without the ram air.
I have no comparison to the drop in with cutout box though.

well which is better. the k&n system or the volant or the air aid. i am looking at a used volant on ebay with the ram system just like smokes and hunts it was on a 6.0 ss but looking at the pics i think its the same unit and it might work.on my 4.8 even if the bottom hose dont fit maybee i will just use it without it. but its used and starting bid id 100 bucks . or just i buy a k&n direct andsince i have drilled a lot of holes in the sides of my stock case....bill

I can't speak for the K&N but I have been pleased with the Volant and I do not have the ram air tube yet
