What amperage of alternator do I need?

Hello,
I am new to this forum. I just bought a 2000 GMC Sierra 2500 HD 2wd and I need to replace the alternator. My question is what amperage do I need to get. Autozone lists 105A and 130A alternators for this truck. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Justin

Just go with the biggest 1.

I second that. It's better to need it and not have it...

Bigger is better in most cases but you have to remember if the 130 amp is a bigger case size it may bolt right in but then you'll have to replace the belt too!
