What should I do for my friend in Iraq???

My friend has a 2000 GMC Sierra Z71 with a 5.3, 4L60E, a 14 bolt corperate rearend with 4.10 gears and a locker (his G80 was KIA). he has 189,000 miles on it.He has headers, intake, 160 tstat, exhaust, newnitto terra grapplers, and a decent system in it.
He is deploying to Iraq in a few days and he asked me to take care of his truck while he is gone. I would like to surprise him when he gets back with some kind of mod to his truck. I want to spend a little bit of money, but not an assload....
He uses it as his daily driver. He has new 16-8 rims on the rear, I could get him some matching ones for the front (but 6 lug)...
I count get him a replacement bumper for the rear... Some chick rear-ended him 2 years ago...I could get him a Wheatley tune, but 189,000 miles kind of scares me...What do you guys think?

It's not that bad... The bumper is slightly bent, and the plastic was popped off on the pass. side until we put a screw in it... Can't tell from 15 feet...

Besides, he had sex with the girl as payment...

Well has he done just a tune up on his truck. You said it was 189,000miles on it you could dont a tune up and then a custom tune. Charlie wheatley said all we did is 3 people to get a discount. So you have your truck then his then mine thats three and who ever else.

Oh yeah i think charlie wheatley can do a mild tune since it does have high mileage. Just a thought

hahahahahaha thats an awesome payment. go for a tune then since your already lookin for it for yourself and trying to get a buy in together on here. itll be nearly free to add in to his.

I dunno... He's coming back with like $14,000 to spend on it, so I don't want to buy him something that's going to be replaced... As far as a tune up, he's anal about keeping it running well, he just put plugs, wires and all kinds of **** in it not too long ago...

I think I will put a diff. bumper and matching wheels for the front...

He may want all new wheels whe he gets back, so I would look at the bedliner or bumper.

He just bought the rear wheels about a month ago... He got them because of the new rear end... having the eight lugs and all...
