ive got a 3' body lift...(bleh)...and ive got 16's id like to go bigger how much should i go?

maybe 285's i dont know how much rubbing willl occur from teh body lift or not maybe even some 305's you can get 285 by just cranking the t-bars a lot so mabye the 305 would be the biggest;

 

I would say 285...the 305 are the same height but they are wider and you will prolly have to get some different rims (prolly 16x8 instead of the stock like 16x6.5 or something like that). The 305 will require a lot more triming

 

As far as i know at least on the chevys you can put 285 ona stock truck. There is a guy from the chevy fourm that did it with no rubbing and im going to put them on my 2005 chevy 1500. And as far as i know chevy and gmc would be the same. So i would think 285 would fit fine and you might even beable to go bigger like 315 75 r16 or so. Thanks

 

There is no way. It all depends on the Body style. On mine, I have 4" and I still rubbed with 285. The reason is the Bumper on the front comes far down and catches the tire. There is now way, without cutting the **** out of his truck, will he be able to get 315/75/16. Also, on your truck, which my buddy has the same one, you wont be able to fit 285 on there without trimming a decent amount

 

i have 285's on my sierra and it looks great and i have no rubbing what so ever....ride quality is sacraficed a ltitle though...therees more flex in the sidewalls so u feel it in the wheel but other than that no complaints...and u can enjoy a little gain in mpg on the highway
