Wheatley
How does the process work with ordering a Wheatley tune? Is it the entire ECU thats replaced? If so where the hell do I find the ECU in my truck?

RE: Wheatley
Yes it is the entire ECU. Mine was located in a black box under the hood by the battery where two main wiring harness go. Hope this helps.

RE: Wheatley
Yeah that helps. Thank you. Did you send yours out first and wait or does he send you one and then you return yours?
|
RE: Wheatley
No i sent him the money to do it plus $135 core and thenhe sent me the ECU and then i sent it back and he refunded the $135. Really easy and quick.

RE: Wheatley
I know Im being a pain in the ass but you send your factory ECU back to him after he sends you a programmed one? How does he make the adjustments, like do you tell him what you did to your truck as far as mods?
|
RE: Wheatley
Yes i sent the factory one back. I told him what i wanted done and the mods i had. He fixed the bigger tire size and what not.

RE: Wheatley
What does it cost for a tune? how do you get ahold of him?
|
RE: Wheatley
WWW.GOWHEATLEY.COM
If I recall, it was about $250 ...and then add the refundable core charge.. Call him and talk to Charlie about what you've done ...and what you'd like, ie, reduce TMS, firmer shift points, etc ...he will program and ECU, ship it to you, you remove your factory one, install the one he sent you ....then send your factory ECU to Charlie and then get your core charge refunded. |
RE: Wheatley
Yes it is very easy as all above have said. And when you call he will walk you through the options.

RE: Wheatley
