i was looking at some pictures of chevys with wheel spacers. it makes the tires stick out more from the body and gives the truck a more wider look... does anybody have them and or what kind and size becuase im thinking about getting a pair

RE: wheel spacers

If you do get them you may have some problems with tire clearance in the front, also most states have laws agenst having tires stick out past the fender wells. From the pic that you have it looks like you are pretty close now. I think it looks good now, if you are looking for the wider look try to get a little wider tire on those wheels. Good luck!

RE: wheel spacers

I'd definitely recommend against both spacers and wider wheels. if you get snow, tires wider than about 265 suck on it. You could get plastic flares for the side of the vehicle, but if they stick out too far, you'll be in for trouble from a state trooper with a bad attitude.

FWIW, spacers also put more torque on the wheel hub, Not sure if it'd cause a problem for you or not, but I know a guy who busted the axel where it connects to the wheel from too much lateral torque. He had spacer-type modifications to the back of his truck.
