white smoke coming from exhaust
 

I have a 1990 1500 4x4 4.3 v6. She just recently started smoking. Its very light. I changed the oil. Took it on a long drive. Still smoking. Oil level holding. I am hoping the motor is not burning oil. I was told I need a new catalytic converter to pass emissions. What may be causing my truck to smoke?

check your oil and see if there is water in it, it may be a head gasket.

just had the oil changed a day ago. It definitely made a difference but She is still smoking. Very nice truck BTW.

Thanks, my reprogrammed computer should be in today, I can't wait. I took the day off to play when it gets here. Luckily my boss is cool and was OK with it. Actually he just left my house, he had to return my boat and needed something fixed on his truck, so it was a good trade off.
