Default Window question

My right side window moves really slow in the middle section of movement, but it moves at normal speed or almost normal speed at the bottom and top sections. Do you guys think this is the motor going out, or the gear is worn? Any ideas before I tear into it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Steven

My drivers side does the same. Do you park your truck anywhere near a pine tree or cyprus tree? I have a pine tree next to the drive way that just litters the entire driveway with sap and pollon. I think some of the sap got in there.

My 03 is very similar. I've even had the passenger side motor replaced while it was still under warranty. That was a couple of years ago. Now they both seem to run about the same speed...normal at first, then a little slower, then normal again. I don't know the answer to the problem but I've just learned to put up with it.

I have no problem just dealing with it, but sometimes it will stop halfway up like the motor is going out. Someone told me it sounded like the gear wearing irregularly. The big deal is I am in the military and I have to be able to roll my window up and down when I go on base. I made a mistake before, it is my drivers side window.

Try cleaning the run channels (where the window slides) most common cause is dirty weatherstrip which cause drag on the motor and they eventually fail. Just take a terry towel and glass cleaner and run up and down inside the groove of the run channel.
