wipers acting wierd...
I have noticed a few times now in the mornings when it's raining that my wipers will kinda hesitate on each stroke about half way up. Like when they are going up and get half way up they will stop/skip for a half second and keep going. It seems to go away after they get warmed up and it doesn't really do it unless I have them on one of the timed intervals instead of regular wiping. Any ideas?

Is no one familiar with this?

RE: wipers acting wierd...
What year is your rig? I have a 91 and had a simular problem and it was the wiper motor pulse board.

RE: wipers acting wierd...
03... and no clue what a wiper motor pulse board is. I assume if it were motor related the only way to fix it would be to replace the wiper motor...?

RE: wipers acting wierd...
I thought the same thing till the boneyards were giving me $150 price on a motor. When I called autozone they told me that it could be the pulse bourd that cost around 30 bucks(it's located inside he motor and real easy to change). It is in fact a part of the motor though, it is an electronic component that controls the delay of the wipers. I'm unsure if the 03's are the same way but may be worth checking into. Hope this is helpful.

I had the same deal with my 91'. Replacement was easy. I took a gander under the hood of my 99' and it looks like the same set-up to me, looks just as easy to replace too.

RE: wipers acting wierd...
Just wondering if you had any luck yet?

RE: wipers acting wierd...
It hasn't done it since I posted this up(figure...). I'm not gonna tackle it until it starts doing it again.
