Wipers only work when it RAINS :)
I know it sounds like I shouldn't be complaining - when else would I want to use wipers??? But seriously, I have a 98 Silverado and my wipers and washers don't work most of the time, and usually only when it's raining. I have cruise control on the same lever that seems to have no problems.
Heard of this? Another dumb ? - is there some kind of rain/moisture sensor that triggers the wipers? Anyway, thanks for reading!!! Tom Lets Go Red Wings!!! |

I never had that kind of experience on my wipers, though sounds amazing.

I live in Las Vegas so not like it rains too often - I'm with you guys, it is more fun as it is. Especially if I have to replace the switch - which doesn't sound like much fun...

Just be happy they work when they do.... mine work all the time, even if the switch is in the "OFF" position... had to pull the fuse till im ready to deal with it.

I had a 95 model 2500 & my wipers would stop working intermittently & I found the power wire at the wiper motor under the hood. There is a blue keeper tab on the wire & all I did was push that in & they started working again. After a while it would back it's way back out & I would have to push it back in again. I think the plastic tab was screwed up on the wiper motor so I eventually replaced the motor & never had the problem again.
