wiring trailer to truck towing pkg
 

Hi the digram that came with the female pigtail which im wiring into trailer
no were near matches digram on the truck plug in cover, nor is that even right. i checked each tab with a light tester to figure out what was what. any way my backup lights wire is yellow on pig tail would it go with green wire which is tailight on pig tail then i have only one wire to taillights left going to trailer becase the other two were for blinkers and brakes so both tail light and backup wire go to the one remaing tail light wire goining to trailer hope this makes sense . i guess seems to work ???

Just hook up what works. The trailer may be wired differently than some other trucks plugs. So most people have them rewired and call it good. But if you are the one doing the rewiring than you are the one that has to figure it out!
