check the fuel pressure in the truck and when it does it check to see if you have spark the crank sensor might be bad

Don't drop the tank. Take off the bed. If you get started and begin to think it is more than you can handle you candrive it to a garage, or the parts store for additional tools/parts.

No. A lot of people with trucks do it that way but if you have never done that and you don't have some people to help you take the bed off I don't suggest doing it this way. Taking the gas tank outis not difficult if you siphon the gas out first.

I'd drop the tank..the bead,while fairly simple to remove,is quite heavy.
run out all the gas ya can..an empty tank is nottoo bad...remove the driveshaft.

fuel pump is changed ,,now its a waiting game to see if that was the culprit ..ill keep y'all informed of the outcome.... next job is putting a snowplow on a 4x4 at least all the hook up for it and getting ready for winter ..thanks for yourwords of wisdom on the pump

yes ,,dropped the tank ...nothing is easy for me ,,, i had help he worked awhile ,i worked awhile, little bit of cussing here and there and throwing a tool or two around ,,,little sweat and knuckle blood and dead skin and hair hanging here and there ..other than that it went pretty smooth i guess ...no wonder a garage wants an arm and a leg and your first born to do stuff .
but thanks for all the info it helped a lot
