I removed the A/C belt the other day and it made a considerable difference. Hot as ****, though... For those of you who don't know, the 99-07 V8'sA/Chas its own belt and tensioner. You have to remove the serpentine belt to get it off, but then you just put it back on when you get the A/C belt off. Feltlike it gave me 10 hp... Only tested it on the butt dyno...

 

Yeah but then it would be way to hot in summer.

 

Too hot here for that ****, 98 degrees + every day, and 90% humidity. So I can't do this one except maybe on the track.

obviously you have never been here in the "winter". I haven't worn pants on christmas day in 10 years. it gets cold for about 1 month a year and that is only low 30s at night and 60 during the day. I didn't realize this was the tropics.

too hot for florida as well. But it think that this is the same concept as under drive pulleys.

 

it'd be hot as ***** but i actually thought about doing that the other day... i guess with the extra power you could just go faster to cool yourself off though...

 

It's not that bad when you're moving... You could always put it back on, too...
