1957 Chev Pick up project
 

I have found an awesome deal on a 57 Chev pick up cab and doors to begin a project truck.

This 57 Chev is going to be something out of the ordinary project in the sense that this truck is going to be an extended cab.
I have only ever seen one guy has done this before and I thought it looked cool.

Here is what it looked like.
and What I hope mine might look like when mine is done.

I picked up my Cab today.
I loaded it on my car hauler on it's back in Mississauga (where I bought it) and took it to the hotel in Toronto then loaded properly for the long 3.5 hr trip home.
Here it is at the Hotel tied down on it's back

This weekend I picked up my doner chassis for my 1957 Chev extended cap project.
It isn't a diesel chassis like I originally hoped to do. Too expensive for a old wrecked duramax truck. So managed to get a great deal on a 2001 GMC Sierra 6.0L Denali

That red truck is from around here I believe...have seen it at a local cruise night a couple of years ago

Ya I believe it was from your neck of the woods.
I saw it on Kijiji and sent the guy a message complimenting him on his beautiful truck, and if I had $35,000 I would have bought it :)

He replied and thanked me for the compliment. He told me it took a few years to build but once it was done him and his wife hooked up the the fifth wheel camper and did the Canada US tour. Once they where done he didn't need the truck any more and that's why he was putting up for sale.

He later messaged me and told me it sold and he got his asking price :cool:

UPDATE:
I have removed the Denali body and began mocking the 57 Chev body onto the 2001 GMC chassis
